Outlandia, Glen Nevis January 2015 – I was accepted for a 3 week long residency in Outlandia, an off grid tree house in Glen Nevis, Fort William. I spent my 3 weeks walking to and from Outlandia, studying the surrounding area, experiencing the solitude of a forest environment and building up a portfolio of work that I will use to create a new series of prints this year.

Shenavall Bothy, Dundonell, November 2013 – Self appointed residency in one of the most remote mountain bothies in Scotland. My time here was spent researching ideas and living in isolation in order to fully appreciate and understand the effects of solitude on an artist.

Remote Perfomances 2014I took part in Tracey Warr’s Writing, Mapping and Walking workshop during Resonance FM’s residency at Outlandia in Glen Nevis. Spent the day with like minded, interesting artists and writers and was featured on one of the radio station’s live broadcasts.

Coast Festival 2013 I, along with two colleagues, was commissioned to create a series of printed flags to revitalize a pre existing collection for Coast Festival of the Arts in Banff, Aberdeenshire. This involved working closely with the event organiser, studio research and development of ideas, screenprinting the designs and erecting the flags each day of the festival. My involvement in the festival also included the opportunity to coordinate a workshop where children could make their own flag to add to the collection.
